We can't thank everyone enough for three nights of embracing
continuous fortunes of LIFE. Please click over and enjoy the
pieces from Janus Landing on our MySpace player. Don't forget
to have a look at our continuing array of videos there, as well.
See the rest of you as we skip across the U.S. on the Rockin' The
Colonies Tour. Keep the love in your hearts! Don't look down!

June 1, 2008

The data center that electronically carries the Fixx Forum
and our mail suffered an electrical gear short in a high-volume
wire conduit, that created an explosion and fire, knocking down
three walls surrounding their electrical equipment room.
No one was injured and no customer servers were damaged
or lost, and everything was back up and running, soon enough.
Looking forward to the gigs at the end of the month and
our Colonies II Tour in July. A few more dates are struggling
to be added in the Midwest and Southwest. We'll post
those as soon as they are confirmed. See you soon!

May 15, 2008

On May 5 we silently celebrated the 25th Anniversary of
Reach The Beach. It's fabulous having Danny with us again
at this time. Tour dates are confirming as contracts are
being signed. There will be more dates added, but we've
finally posted a few. We're looking forward to Rockin'
The Colonies again, this time 'round with the English Beat.
Hope to share more news before we see you all in July!

Our Webmaster has been learning about wines. swirling the
glass releases the bouquet. This varietal has a long finish.
(more W.C. Fields than Dane Cook, I'm afraid)
We've all been sounding good, as it's a great feeling to
be hard at work, to be responsible, to be wanted. Cy was
able to spend a week in Los Angeles doing some of his own
campaigning – a few interviews and even invited to get up
on Stage by our friends Val & Rick along with their band

Plans for the summer are shaping quite nicely. Looks like
we'll be out on the road with The Alarm again, this time
with the English Beat, ROCKIN' THE COLONIES!
Don't know when dates will be announced, but
the cross-country trek should begin end of June,
so we expect to know just where we're going by May!

Everyone believes in something...

Everyone Believes

We're crawling out of a strange winter and the Fixx is in the studio
as we speak. YIPPEE. God, it's been a while. Really been waiting for
a long time and I'm sure you guys are pretty excited by it, as well.

Here are some of our first snapshots from London.

Does this man seem a bit mysterious? Well, the grumblings on the forum
that questioned the sight of only four band photos on our new homepage
as a design choice or something more obvious were respectfully keen on.
Sorry we couldn't jump right in with the announcement, but so it goes.
The one piece of important news that I have today is that Dan K. Brown
has joined us for these sessions. Gary Tibbs decided to rush off into
an early retirement or look for other employment. Wasn't for me
to really try and read his mind further than what he said to us.
So, goodbye Gary, wish you all the best; Hello Dan, and welcome back,
I'm glad that your health has bounced back and if we can convince you
to come out on the road, we will, but we're happy enough to have you
just as a brilliant bass player that you are in the studio. Particularly,
me as the singer, I always found Danny was really wonderful at coming
up with nuances right in between the lyric lines, which is why when you
say a musician is lyrical, well he is the true description of that word.
You can listen to my Podcast on all this on myspace.com/cycurnin
and it's downloadable free on iTunes.
There's a few other snapshots as well on the fixx myspace.

Not pictured is Ian Caple, introduced to us long ago by his work with
Kate Bush and Tricky, who is now with us "on knobbage," as Adam likes
to call the engineering boards. We're all enjoying this time together.
We will be going out on the road quite a lot this summer -- June, July
and some of August. As for right now, we want to spend more time in the
studio than initially anticipated. We'll continue sending along updates.

Lots of love
-Cy

Nothing like an extreme makeover.
We'll have more news to come...
be well, be careful.

Will see you soon.
